Halogen Incandescent Bulbs:
Halogen bulbs work in exactly the same way as traditional incandescent bulbs found in your home with one major difference: they contain halogen gas instead of nitrogen or argon. This difference allows the bulb to burn brighter, more efficiently, and for longer periods of time. The bulb needs to be replaced less frequently since filament life is extended.

Multiple Beam:
This beam pattern combines focused narrow beams and focused wide beams to allow for the most versatility. At close range, the focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions so you to take advantage of your peripheral vision. The focused narrow beams create a long-throw spotlight ideal for night hiking and search and rescue.

Princeton Tec VorTec Headlamp

The Vortec offers the highest power to weight ratio of anything in it's class. The front-mounted battery pack eliminates the need for external wiring and evenly distributes weight across your forehead. Harsher, cold weather conditions are no problem for the Vortec; it?'s configured to provide significant extended burn times using lithium batteries without the need for bulb conversion. The Vortec includes one halogen bulb, one long-burn bulb, and wide and narrow beam reflectors.

The VORTEC headlamp is the perfect complement to the Quest / Solo. With a range of beefed-up features, it burns longer and brighter. Undoubtedly, the VORTEC offers the highest power-to-weight ratio of anything in and above its class. Its front mounted battery pack eliminates the need for external wiring and evenly distributes weight across your forehead. Harsher cold weather conditions are no problem for the VORTEC; it's configured to provide significant extended burn times with the use of Lithium batteries with no bulb conversion necessary.

Waterproof Rating Level 1:
Waterproof rating Level 1 is assigned to lights that offer a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX4 in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 1 are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a Level 1 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage. If water has entered the housing, the light should be dried and batteries replaced.
