Princeton Tec Scout L.E.D. Headlamp
Lightweight, ultra compact and engineered to last a lifetime, the SCOUT headlamp gives L.E.D. lighting a new twist.
The lamp of the SCOUT can easily detached from the headband and be slipped to a cap, a backpack strap, a belt-anywhere you need lighting. Following in the successful steps of the current # 1 best-selling headlamp in the outdoor market, the AURORA, the SCOUT also has an innovative electronically controlled switch system that provides easy switching between three levels of light output and two emergency signaling modes. And, in the Princeton Ted tradition, the SCOUT offers water / weather resistant integrity.
Ultrabright LED
The highest quality LED available from Nichia, the Ultrabright LED is bright and efficient. The smooth, white, wide-beam light emitted by Ultrabright LEDs is ideal for close- to mid-range tasks. Ultrabright LEDs are usually grouped together to offer a more powerful light source. Advances currently underway will continue to improve the efficiency and brightness of Ultrabright LEDs.
Multiple Modes
Multiple settings on many of our products give you the flexibility to adjust your light's brightness and/or beam width to illuminate greater distances or to conserve battery power, depending on your needs.
Focused Wide Beam
This beam pattern is an excellent choice for multipurpose activities. At close range, focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions and allow you to take advantage of your peripheral vision.
Waterproof Rating Level 1
Waterproof rating Level 1 is assigned to lights that offer a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX4 in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 1 are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a Level 1 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage. If water has entered the housing, the light should be dried and batteries replaced.
UL Certification
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent, not-for-profit product-safety testing and certification organization. They have been testing products for public safety for more than a century. In order for a product to bear the certified UL Mark, it must pass all UL requirements at their testing facility. Princeton Tec lights that are UL certified fall into the following classification: Class I - Groups A, B, C, & D - Division 2.
