Broccoli & Turkey Chowder
    Broccoli & Turkey Chowder is a great way to turn your leftovers into a healthy meal!

    Ingredients:
  • 2 Tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon Basil, crushed, dried
  • 1 - 12.05 can Diced Turkey, drained
  • 2 Stalks Celery, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Cup American Cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 3 Cups 2% Milk
  • 1 Medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Cups Broccoli, chopped
Directions:
In your 10" Dutch Oven combine broccoli, celery, onion, margarine and 1/2 cup milk. Heat, covered for 10 minutes or until vegetable are steamed. Blend flour into 1 cup milk then add with the remaining milk and seasonings to vegetables. Cook, stirring occasionally, until chowder boils and thickens. Add the Cheese and Turkey. Heat until Cheese is melted. When you put the cheese on do not stir after that.

Serves 4 and ready in about 20 to 30 minutes.

If you like you can steam your vegetables in the Turkey juice and the margarine. Then it might have to add a little more flour later on to thicken it but the vegetables have a nice turkey flavor.
