Fresh Peach Cobbler
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 4 cups Peaches (fruit)

    Cobbler Crust:
  • 4 tbsp. Sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Flour

    Directions:
In a large bowl, mix all the filling ingredients except peaches. Set aside and mix all cobbler ingredients together except milk and butter. Now mix in milk and butter, cutting them into the crust mixture until a ball forms. Set aside.
Now mix peaches (fruit) into filling mixture and spread into the bottom of a 12" or 14" Dutch Oven. Crumble or spoon in the crust mixture over the filling. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve warm for the best results.

Variation: Try putting 1 cup of brown sugar on the bottom of the pan to create a double crust.
