Dutch Oven Classes

The first class was a hit!!!! We learned how to season, clean, store, and the history of dutch ovens. Plus of course we had to sample some great dutch oven food!!! Go to the Dutch Oven Tips page and you will find most of it there.

The 2nd Class we got to play the new Camp Chef 2-Burner Stove with Oven!!! We made Skookies and pull a part bread in the new Camp Chef Bread Pan!!! We did have one problem. The cookie doe kept disappearing!!! Hum!!! It was Chocolate Chip. We also did one pot meals, but we were having so much fun with the Skookies that we forgot to put the bread on top of the pork roast with veggies. Or were we trying to figure out who took the cookie doe??? Any way we had too much fun and too much food!!! See you next class.

The 3nd ClassWe went for the GREEN!!! Yum!!! Yum!!! Corn Beef and Cabbage. I will have to see if I can find the recipe for this. We also figured out who was taking the cookie dough from the last class!!! However, we will not divulge the name here.......the new privacy act will not allow such a thing.
We created a new recipe....Tropical Passion Bread!! This turned out to be very very good!!!!
See you next class.
Camp Chef Stove and Oven

The 4th ClassWe went for a sugar high!!!
One of the Desserts was Almost Pumpkin Pie This turned out to be very very good!!!!
There was a lot of questions after the class..........I think they were all too full to move for about 1/2 hour. It also seamed to me that they were talking really really fast too!!! I also saw one person going around in circles before the class was over. However, no one fell off there chair.
See you next class.

The 5th Class This class was like a camping trip. When you are setting up everything is hot and nice. Then half way thought the class the wind started blowing....45 mph plus at times. Dust was flying everywhere, and you could only see about 50 feet in front of you. Thank goodness we decided to set up inside!!! However, we did get a nice coating of fine dust all over the place. The prime rib was great!! No one had any trouble finding there plates when it came to eat!! Dust or no Dust!! Everyone had fun at there little tables cooking there assigned item. The class members blew in and then when leaving they blew out!!!! With a nice full tummy!!
